Shimtage.

Now if there one thing that I love the most about all this glad tidings mumbo jumbo which is upon us at the moment - PARTY SEASON.
Combine that with a wedding and I am one happy bean :)
Of course all this comes with the niggly torture of WTF do I wear?!
Last night my lovely lovely work dudette Sam got married and here's my outfit.

So, I attempted a 50's ish hair do - saw it on Lydia from TOWIE and Katy Perry recently and thought it was cool.

Definitely one I'm guna be practising. Just call me Dita.

My dress is one of my faveys. Its from Beales (biased) and comes from our very own Made In England Collection. Ok ok ok, so plugging your own work is uncool but the pieces are really quite special and so easy to wear. I am not in any way subconsciously telling you to pop into Beales and spend. At all.

I also wore my very first evening bag that I wore to my Year 11 Prom. Looks as good as new considering it has witnessed a fair bit of puking...

So there we have it.
I've got one more thing before I go..

Here's another of my Beales Collection dresses. I have been obsessed with it for months and am soooo happy it's the shops :) Proud mama.
(That handsome chap next to me is a HighStreetGeek too - his shirt is from River Island £29.99 his reversible skinny tie is from Next £6)

Santa...I can explain...

I've gone and done it.
I've realised I'm am a country bumpkin and succumb to the beauty of a Barbour Jacket. You might remember me banging on about this jacket earlier on in the year.
Now, as this has cost me a wee small fortune, it is my Christmas present. BUT I've sneaked it out of Mother Dalts' room for us all to has one last peek until the halls are decked with holly :(

Ahhh. Khaki Wax Jacket with the coolest Liberty London Rose print lining.
It even comes with a wee little pin badge!
It's practical, an investment, can be worn with anything....somebody please make me feel better about my empty pockets!

SO, although I already know what will be under the tree this Christmas, I think I'll be happy with this baby.

Only 46 days to go! Jeeeez.

IWISHITWASN'TSOCOLD!

Thought I'd show you my little S/S 12 moodboard I did for work. Did it quite a while ago, but forgot about it!
Anyway here's a summary because I don't know about you, but I miss my tan already...

  • Tropical prints follow on from last Spring but offer more variety with all over patterns. Gorgeous fern greens and strong blues will be big!
  • A fresh Summer picnic story with pastels and conversational prints and Peplum skirts AS SEEN ON Jason Wu, Preen and Vera Wang.
  • Desert Safari nudes also carry through to one of my favourite colours of the moment - Orange! Again, don't be afraid to go all over in these warm hues and get ZESTY. Orange will also look great with the African/Tribal prints! Excited for this one!
  • Laid back and (hopefully not) Saved By The Bell dip-dying will also make an appearance. One trend that I find kinda difficult to manage. I reckon this will come later with the festival season...where I WILL be.

A Royally Great Weekend!

What-O What-O.
Havn't really posted in a couple of weeks, been a little mental at work and preparing for my holiday to LAS VEGAS on Wednesday!
WAHOOOOO.

Me and my friend Claire went to up to London to Buckingham Palace to see K-Middy's teeny tiny Wedding Dress!
I wore my new cable knit jumper from New Look, my River Island Aviators and my favourite b'day present from Claire - my Alexander McQueen scull scarf!
We were actually this close! Couldn't take any photo's though, but seeing it was amazing! The lace was so perfect. There was also her shoes - she's a size 4 1/2 and her earrings from her parents.
The dress was displayed in the Great Ballroom, stood completely in the middle, under very low candle-like lighting. Queenie was right it was very 'spooky'.

Friday Night I said Buh Byeee to my firend Jack who's moving to America for a year. We had a proper knees up in our little village of Wimborne.

Here's me having a good old dance off in a toilet in my new Monsoon dress (£35) and my COOL Butler and Wilson Union Jack Ring (£30)
That's a great bank holiday weekend if ever I saw one. I'm off to make my sandwiches for work tomorrow. Rock and Roll.

2 more sleeps and I'll be in SIN CITY!!! Well jel arn't ya.

Cute as a lego man...

Hello!
Had a rather sweet Saturday shopping with the Fam and also went to visit my friend Izzy's amazing market stall in Bournemouth. She makes the cutest jewellery...

Here are my 1st purchases - my telephone ring (£4) and my knitted bow necklace (£10) and my Izzy in the Sky sticker!
I love these little dainty pieces, really different and love the fact that they are made by someone I know who is so passionate about each piece! These will go great with the tea dresses that I seem to be living in at the moment!
While I was there I picked up this little guy...
Totally impractical of course but who doesn't want a lego man with them all day?
Aaaand to top it all off I found this GEM in TK Maxx..

Yes, a cute as a button nightie from Vera Wang! Let me tell you it is soooooooooooooooooooo soft! I am writing to you in it now :)

Well, there you have it, the best things in my Saturday - I'm off to find more wardrobe space...

Debt - in pictures...

I got these gorgeous boho gladiators from River Island. It's a shame I havn't actually been to any festivals this year. Trying to save as much as possible for Vegas in September...excited much? I'm aiming to look glamourous enough for the entire holiday so that I sneak in to the super high roller parties and get an instant room upgrade. PLAN.
I nabbed em for £20 - a tenner off! Couldn't say no could I?

This purchase was purely practical. Purely. My camera now has a bed.
£5
My pretty messy desk is going to be graced with my new Cath Kidston lunchbox, cute huh?
Pack of three £6

And my favourite bright idea of the week. Sewing a banana onto my denim jacket. Sounds so simple doesn't it? Well, thats me. Think it looks rather cute, and in keeping with the tropical trends of the moment. There was method behind my madness.
Sequin Banana - £1.79 Fabric Land.

BE MINE!

Look at this. The perfect festie/farmer jacket has been in my thoughts for weeeeeeks :(
It's £199 from Barbour.
I work for Beales now, as a Buyer's Admin Assistant (I know, kind of a big deal) and I wouold love to take full advantage of my 20% discount on THIS!
What do you guys think? Shall I take the plunge and attempt to look like Holly Willoboooby?

Posh, my arse.

When I heard that the Victoria Beckham label was going HIGH STREET for Spring Summer 2012, you can only imagine how good I was going to look turning up to work everyday in my VB get up and automatically getting a promotion and life being as chic as hers.
Turns out that won't be happening as Posh Spice's new SS12 collection is affordably a lil' pricey.

The collection is going to range between £395 - £900
Very very unusually girly for the soon to become mum-of-four, who was no doubt inspired by the arrival of her baby girl next month! Hurrah!
Oooozing 1960's colour blocks with a cute Mary Quant feel to it.

What's your favourite of these three sneak peeks? I can definately see myself in that electric blue number...

Watch out Suri, theres a new glamzon baby diva comin' to get cha!

Country girl in the BIG city.

I am one lucky fashionista.
I spent a few days in New York to celebrate my no longer being a student and all (freeeaking out)
and might I tell you, one day my posts may be coming from the Big Apple. Sure, it's probably what every fashion graduate wants to do with her life, but I can see why.
Anyway I'll skip to the best bit...my snaps. Please bare with me, I realise these probably look the same as yours and your friends' New York photos, but deal with it, I'm happy!

My grand bed!

Some cool stools.
Me & Elmo

Time Square @ night

Empire State 102nd floor (I might add that the entire floor sang me Happy Birthday! It was not my birthday)

Just a cool picture
Central Park -didn't find a Perk :(

The non-tourist
Mr Bubble?
Plain White Tee's playing at 8am?
New kicks.

Top of the Rock
Let's Go Mets!
World Trade Centre Site
Grand Central Station
It's been very hard to not upload all of my photos, but these are my faves. Am now recovering from the most intense shopping trip of my life!
So there we are, I also got two UBER cute tops from Material Girl in Macy's which i'll show you when I'm looking less bleurgh. That Lourdes has some, like, style.

MAXI-BON

Maxi dress mad I am.
This lovely one is a shocket at just a wee £16 from Primark, really impressed with it! I love the simplicity of it, feeling very sophisticated and safe in the knowledge that I am trend happy!
It even comes with a cute little belt and normally I would team with gold accessories, BUT as you can see from the mammoth bags under my eyes, I must get some sleep.
Although, next time this dress see's daylight, it will be with all the other fasionistas in New York City!

Trip is guna be amazing! Seeing all the touristy things, I will not be happy until I get a statue of Liberty crown and a i <3 NY tee of my own :)
and of course.....I will shop.

See you from the other side of the pond duuuuudes.

LIVIN THE DREAM

Oh what this bag? Yes it's mine. Sweet isn't it? And 30% off to boot. Got some cracking stuff this week and I'll delve into my shopping bags to show you.
But let's just take a brief moment for the bag....ahh.
Perfect for my trip to New York on Thursday. Do hate to brag...
