Tea party anyone?

Spring has most definitely sprung.

So, to celebrate..
I discovered this lovely and light tea dress from Next (£30).
NEXT is a serious player in the style stakes now and for me, never fail to make quality, well fitting garments.

I loooooove it! Perfecto for these lighter evenings, I have to also brag that I've had my first BBQ of 2011 and it went swimmingly! The print is lovely and bold, and is at a great length for us short buggers (*sadface).

Saturday night I teamed it with my FAVE biker jacket and this great satchel...

One day, in my very own house, absolutely everything will be Cath Kidson...

I am being very sensible and involved with my final major project, so i'll apologise now for the lack of posts.

Who dosn't love a floral eh? Sure there may be a few of you that say they don't, but nothing is prettier than a fabulous fetching floral print with bare legs and a BBQ.
So, heavily inspired by the beautiful Cath Kidson brand, i am currently designing/making/marketing a range of UV protective swimwear for kids.
And I tried out my Illustrator skills to create this beast!

Not quite Kidson, but I had a go!

White Fox more like.

As you know it was the Vanity Fair Oscar party on the 27th Feb. Oh didn't you? No, neither did I.

So, ever on the lookout for High Street beauties, would you believe I got two of these rolled into one.The HWIWRN (Hottest Woman in the World Right Now) Natalie Portman attended the event in this beautiful lace detailed frock from WOULD YOU BELIEVE Sweden's finest High Street giant....H&M.
AND its for the bargain price of £29.99.

The dress is infact not made from lace, but recycled polyester and is part of H&M's 'Conscious Collection'.

Could you love N-Portz anymore now you know she's one of us?

K-Midz eat your heart out.

Ok so sue me. I'm Royal Wedding mad. I have Royal Wedding fever. Royal Wedding! And yes I am going to have the day off on April the 29th. And I will be wearing this...

Dumdumdedum!

I know it's trashy, and something I wouldn't normally wear. But it was £2 from the one and only Primarni.
Actually it does look quite cool with my snuggly leopard coat!

What are your plans for the big day? I'll be tweeting no doubt, with my commemorative mug, my snuggie, and a massive scone.

Rule jeffing Britannia!

Loafers. I wonder if Nan knows about these?

Fearne Cotton IS the queen of cool. And look she's only gone and copied my new loafers....
Actually, funnily enough it was the other way around. Fearne's are actually from Topshop £50 (below).
Want this wardoble classic look for less I hear you cry? No problemo. Do what I did. I got these cutey's at Primark (£10).

While you're at it, why not pick up this equally cute charm necklace for only £1.5o, yes, £1.50.

Designer Do.

As obsessed with beauty products as think us girls definitely are, thought I'd tell you about my new revelation.
I recently just splashed out on James Brown Rich Moisture shampoo and conditioner. Sounds fancy, and was £6 a bottle, but I have to say that my hair has never felt so soft and bouncy! He's the one that was on Great British Hairdresser (Channel 4)

Now, I can't really say I believe in all that mechanical science mumbo-jumbo, however, for a gal that has had as many colours in her hair as me, this is the perfect product for thick hair that needs a pampering. I never normally go for moisture shampoo's as they tend to not do greasy hair any favours, but this is uber light and the ideal hair treat.
Tip.
No matter what the bottle says, never leave conditioner on for more than 30 seconds. It can weaken the hair and contributes to split end disasters. Ooh and also, use a shower comb to detangle after conditioning, combing once out of the shower can damage your scalp and can cause the hair to knot even further! Hang on thats two tips.

However for those on a budget, I swear by the Sunsilk range, sold in most supermarketsand for the bargain price of under £2.
I was going to do a before shot, but I looked just too frightening this morning.

P.S. I know this blog is strictly high street, but this designer label is accessible to just about everyone. Treat yourselves.
