Zsa Zsa Tah Dah

Been a while on the old blog front. But I've been a very busy bee!
In my absence I've managed to land myself my dream job!!! I am now a Buyers Assistant for New Look! So I have moved up to the Big Smoke and is an actual Londoner now. Exciting stuff!

I came home this weekend and had an amazing shopping trip with my mate Jess in Westbourne, Bournemouth. Theres a tonne of charity and vintage shops which are amazing, but nestled in between is the coolest boutique Zsa Zsa.
They've got some beautiful clobber, jewellery and AMAZING shoes. Lots of studs and lots of skulls - my favourite things!

Here's how I spend my hard earned London pennies...

Black Velvet Spike Flats £30

If anyone stands on my babies on the tube, I will kill them!!!

Shopperholic

It is no secret how much I love Zara this season. This season their embellishments, statement blouses and gorgeous prints are so much fun!
And there's one thing that they have got just right. The Zara Shopper. (You knew I was going to say that didn't you??)
Small or large this bag is following me around like white on rice for the last few weeks! And it is a very clever bag too...BUY ME BUY ME BUY ME it keeps subliminally saying to me! Naughty bag!

And to make matters worse it's been on swinging on celebrities arms too...

Olivia Palmero

Mollie King

Lauren Goodger

At £79.99 for the large basic shopper - a great price. But can the high street get me THE LOOK FOR LESS?

YES. They really are everywhere but the real MUST-HAVES are;

Primark - £12

BHS - £25

You're welcome. Now in return, I like it in black.

Love a bit of Viv...

Ok so not the most sensible shoes on earth BUT JUST LOOK AT THEM!
Check out my new season Vivienne Westwood Melissa Shoes!! Ice Blue with chrome heart peep toes! A seriously cool birthday present - thanks Mother Dalts!
I never normally get excited about shoes and normally stick to the high street but these are really comfy and really striking! Oh and did I mention they smell of bubblegum? I wish I had a click N' sniff page to show ya'll but that hasn't been invented yet so I can't. Get on with it Microsoft.
Right it's Friday night. These pretties are coming out of their box and being teamed with a simple black peplum dress. Have a good one!

Hollyicanseeyourboobies

Ok so The Voice is getting some hard cheese from everyone, but I still think it's awesome.
Don't know if anyone was as obsessed with Holly's dress as much as I was last week? Just me?

Anyway, you can get the actual dress here for 40 squidoodles, from Topshop - even better!

Joyce's IT bag!

Check out this adorable handbag that I found in my Nan's wardrobe today! It was a little dusty but gave it a wipe down and here it is good as new!

Marks and Spencer's and Made in Britain too!
I will be taking this out proudly this weekend! Just done a bit of research and its from the swinging 60's! I can just imagine my young Nan, Joycey B, then in her early 30's out and about with her new baby! MY MUM!
I love it!
Do you have any cool hand-me-downs??
Have a great Easter weekend peeps!

Cheap Week...

Hello there!!
Since coming back from New York last week (#didImentionthatIwenttoNewYork???) I have decided to take a leaf out of my old student handbook and save some pennies on all the clobber I buy every week! Please note this is probably so I can save for another trip to the Big Apple and fill my wardrobe with lovlies. For anyone that knows me, I know you're already having doubts...

But I'm trying...

Customising.

I had this old horseshoe blouse from Primark and decided to jazz it up with some of these cool chunky military buttons. Not exactly rocket science either. I'm happy with it - something great for me - that weird person that never throws anything away. Even that unused dried out pen in the drawer. You just never know...

Charity Shop Scouring.

Here's my favorite new cardigan! I say 'new' I got it whilst hitting the charity shops with my friend Jess. It's very cute and snug and looks great with black jeans and pumps! It's bringing out the old lady in me though - must have been it's previous owner!

Good Old-Fashioned Primark.
Ok so I'm sort of cheating on this one, but Primark has brought me some vintage looking accessories into my life this week.
My Jubilee Ring
My new lacy headband
I don't know about you but I'm excited about giving things a new life! What do you guys think? Nothing nicer that a new outfit, or looking to get creative?

Lady Gaga - a how to guide...

Had a brilliant weekend. My friends and I took a road trip up to Cardiff to celebrate our friend
Claire's 22nd Birthday! The theme being...POPSTARS and MOVIESTARS!

Ever the optimist, I decided from the off set that I was going to attempt Lady Gaga. A challenge in itself.
Let's see some of her famous looks...

Then I started having second thoughts.

But up for a challenge, I attempted this look...

Easy enough right? Here's how I did it...

Dress
So, I got some 3 pack of thick gold card (£4) and made approx. 20 4-sided diamond's in various shapes and sizes, fat and skinny.

I then blew the dust off my old sewing kit from Uni and sewed all the diamonds across the left strap and bust and another cluster on the right hip. TA DA.

I also added some sticky gems (which I got from Poundland!) to a pair of old costume glasses to recreate 'THE FAME' glasses. Threw on some fingerless gloves (£1.99 H&M) and a standard Lady Gaga Bow Wig (£10) and there we have it...

A less exuberant Gaga, but a Gaga nonetheless!
Me and the Bday girl!
